what is cmmc?

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program that applies to Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors. It is a unifying standard and new certification model to ensure that DoD contractors properly protect sensitive information.

For this certification, self-reporting compliance is no longer enough. Third-party audits and certifications take months. More and more contracts will include CMMC, so the sooner you incorporate cybersecurity compliance in your plans, the better prepared you’ll be to take on this work.

is amper cmmc compliant?

Amper works with many customers in Aerospace and Defense and we take security seriously as well. Our compliance program is designed to support any customers who will require CMMC 2.0 Level 2.

As part of a CMMC assessment, manufacturers will need to demonstrate that they have ensured their external CSPs satisfy DFARS 7012 requirements. We are preparing to meet these requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Amper data stored?
plus sign icon
All Amper data is stored in a virtual private cloud within Amazon Web Services (AWS). All servers are located in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest as well as in-transit.
Is data backed up?
plus sign icon
Yes; CSPs handle backups and redundant data storage as a service. From their SLA, they offer 99.999999999% durability of objects over a given year.
How is stored data transmission and access secured?
plus sign icon
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry best practices. Each service across the Amper service ecosystem—even those behind firewalls—requires an authentication token. This ensures correct access is granted and prevents unauthorized access to services.
Who has access to the data?
plus sign icon
Amper’s engineering and support teams can access customer data for debugging and support processes. This is on an as-needed basis only. Other individuals in the organization do not have access unless required.
Is customer data shared with any third parties?
plus sign icon
No customer data is shared with third parties for commercial reasons. We employ some third-party services to support app functionality. All services meet the required FedRAMP requirements for CMMC compliance.
