5 Can't-Miss Things to See & Do at the PMPA National Technical Conference & PMTS 2021

Are you attending The Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) in Cleveland? PMTS 2021 is one of the first in-person trade shows for the precision machining community in over 18 months!

We are excited to be attending and can't wait to showcase Amper's product to new customers, sit in on the showfloor demos, and connect with the precision machining community in person.

To help you get the most out of your PMTS 2021 experience, we've rounded up our top 5 can't miss things to see & do at the trade show.

Where is PMTS located?

The show is centrally located at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. The address is 300 Lakeside Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113.

What are the show hours?

Tuesday, August 10 | 10:30 am – 5:00 pm

Wednesday, August 11 | 9:30 am – 5:00 pm

Thursday, August 12 | 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

1. Attend a Showfloor Demo

A hallmark of PMTS is the live demonstrations offered by a variety of machine tool builders in the exhibit hall. The demonstrations allow attendees to see machines in action and ask questions of the presenter and other experts. View the agenda here: https://www.pmts.com/show-floor-events-schedule

2. Attend a Tech Talk

PMTS Tech Talks are brief, interactive presentations held on the show floor. Intimate and limited in size, Tech Talks are led by industry experts and leading equipment suppliers. They offer unique opportunities for deeper learning about specific products and process technologies, which translates to a better ROI and more ideas on how to improve your processes.

3. Data-Driven Management Session with Amper CEO, Akshat Thirani

Data is a valuable tool in your shop. Learn how machine metrics and monitoring can increase your shop’s throughput and minimize downtime. Determine what data your shop needs to be efficient and how to derive insights from the data. This session is part of the NTS's Administrative Track and focuses on how machine monitoring can increase a shop’s throughput and minimize downtime.

5. Explore Cleveland

While you may be at the show to learn new ideas on how to improve processes or see the latest technology, don't forget to have some fun. We recommend you try these Cleveland spots:

  • Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: A must-see in Cleveland, the museum and hall of fame celebrates the history and significance of rock music and honors the contributions of those who have played an important role in the music’s creation and dissemination.
  • Mabel's BBQ: Chef Michael Symon’s Mabel’s BBQ is a Cleveland-style barbecue restaurant located in the heart of downtown Cleveland.
  • Barrio: Only half a mile away from the convention center, Barrio is the perfect place to kick off happy hour after a long day at the trade show. You can't go wrong with tacos and margaritas.
